The cold case team running the Zodiac Killer case has revealed the identity of what was perhaps the most notorious uncaught serial killer in United States history

The cold case team running the Zodiac Killer case has revealed the identity of what was perhaps the most notorious uncaught serial killer in United States history… America’s Jack the Ripper, if you will. His name? Gary Francis Poste. I had no idea he was caught until I got this question from my buddy Vitmor Gomes. So I headed to Google and… damn! They actually did. Turns out Mr. Poste was actually linked to another murder, a murder unlinked until recently to the Zodiac case. This led to investigators diving a little deeper into the guy. And discovering more and more links, ties and similarities. Furthermore, the ‘unbreakable codes’ he used to send out? They make a lot more sense when using his full name in cracking them… The sad thing? Justice came a little bit too late. Because Mr. Poste died in 2018. He will never be brought to justice for what he did. But if it’s any consolation to anyone, at least his name is now out there. His face is out there. The mystery has been solved. I’...

the Zodiac killer and What happened to him

You’ve probably never heard of him, so let me tell you about him. His name is Robert “Bob” Chemney, and he was born in Canada before moving to America in the 60s. He lived in Oakland, when i was still living in San Francisco i’ve knew him from work and we were friends, he would always go to this park in Vallejo to eat donuts, he told me the city represented his “True Self”. He was a charismatic man, but he never had that many friends. He was great at conversations and could make just about anything interesting, so it was a bit surprising to see him not interact with that many people/ I’ve visited his house multiple times, but he told me that i cannot enter his basement nor his bedroom and always kept them locked, however when i took him home after he drank he told me to take him to his bedroom. I didnt look around, but i saw a book, the book had the exact same symbol the zodiac killer had used. He also never wanted to talk about his life in Canada, and said he was “glad to leave it...

Melissa’s disappearance stayed a mystery for over 51 years

On a warm summer day in 1971, in Fort Worth, Texas, a young mother named Alta Apantenco was doing her best to care for her 22-month-old daughter, Melissa Highsmith, while also working full-time. In need of child care, Alta placed an ad in a local newspaper asking for a babysitter. A woman replied and offered to pick up Melissa from the home. Alta trusted the plan, and her roommate handed Melissa over—without Alta ever meeting the woman herself. But the woman wasn’t a babysitter. She was a kidnapper. And from that moment on, Melissa was gone. Years went by with no answers. Every year on Melissa’s birthday, her family lit candles, said prayers, and held on to hope. Even after many police reports, searches, and public efforts, no one could find her. Melissa’s disappearance stayed a mystery for over 51 years. Then, in 2022, the truth finally came out—not from a police lead or witness, but from a small plastic tube and a DNA test. A relative had sent a sample of saliva to 23andMe, a genetic...

Anthonette approached the door and asked who was on the other side. The person, a man, replied that it was her “Uncle Joe.” That prompted Anthonette to open the door. She was then grabbed by 2 men and thrown into a brown van before they sped off. Wendy, though she didn’t get a good look at their faces, didn’t believe she recognized either of the men. Her mother realized that Anthonette was missing when she awoke in the morning, and called the police. There were no leads for a year. Then, one ...

Hikers going missing in national parks and forests isn't unheard of, in fact, thousands are reported to go missing in these areas each year, never to be seen or heard from again

Hikers going missing in national parks and forests isn't unheard of, in fact, thousands are reported to go missing in these areas each year, never to be seen or heard from again. Amongst the overwhelming number of such cases, this one is quite baffling. Sandra Hughes, then 54, was a free-spirited, outdoor savvy woman, who was passionate about nature her whole life. This tremendous passion drew her to become trained in park ranging as a young adult. It also helped her become skilled in surviving the brutal conditions of the forests. Her interests culminated in her becoming an avid hiker and a survivalist. When the pandemic hit the globe in 2020, Sandra, perturbed by the ensuing chaos, decided to step away from the real world and into the forest for a long hike. She left to the Sierra National forest in June of that year, well prepared for the hike ahead of her. She was last seen trying to hitchhike at the intersection of Route 44 and Belgo Road. Connie grew up on her family ranch and loved animals, particularly horses. She enjoyed reading comic books and making up stories, and reportedly related well to other people. In July 1952, she was enrolled for a month at Camo Sloane by her mother, who was visiting her parents in Greenwich, CT. Around 2 weeks into her stay at the camp, she was visited by her mother (Connie had celebrated her 10th birthday on July 11th) who said Connie seemed happy at the camp. So happy, she even asked if she could stay longer than she was supposed to, but her mother said no. Connie reportedly told her mother that she was excited for a dressage event and square dancing. Connie accepted the fact that her mother was not letting her stay longer....

October 1943. Auschwitz. A Jewish dancer, Franceska Mann, disembarks from the train and enters a dreadful universe

October 1943. Auschwitz. A Jewish dancer, Franceska Mann, disembarks from the train and enters a dreadful universe. The Nazis tell her to strip, don a uniform, and join the queue. She does as she is told, but her decision is already taken. She begins to undress, slowly and deliberately. She is being watched by the guards. Their eyes wander, their attention lapses. That's all she wants. In an instant, she seizes a pistol from Josef Schillinger and kills him. No hesitation. Another bullet strikes Wilhelm Emmerich. He screams. He bleeds. The fiction of control collapses. Franceska is shot dead. But in that split second, something occurs. Another woman notices. She doesn't remain passive. She resists. A few others follow. It's brutal. One Nazi loses his scalp. Another loses his nose. They all perish, but for one instant, they weren't captives. They were warriors. This was not a rescue. No rescue was coming. But it was fighting back. Powerful and desperate. Franc...

Amanda Tusing was a 20-year-old woman living with her parents in Dell, Arkansas. She was small, had dark hair, and her family and friends lovingly called her “Mandy.” People described her as full of energy, with a strong spirit and a bright future. She was engaged to Matthew Ervin, and they were planning to get married in June 2001. Amanda dreamed of becoming a veterinarian one day, while Matthew had a job selling insurance after finishing college at Arkansas State University. The two were very close and spent most of their time together. On the night of June 14, 2000, around 11:30 PM, Amanda left Matthew’s apartment in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to drive back home to Dell. It was storming heavily that night, and Amanda told Matthew she would call him as soon as she got home so he’d know she was safe. This picture seemingly depicts a happy little girl with her Aunt

This picture seemingly depicts a happy little girl with her Aunt. Except it doesn't. It actually shows the perpetrator and victim of one of the worse cases of child abuse the UK has ever seen. The girl in the photo is Victoria Climbié, and at the age of 8 years old, she was murdered by her great Aunt and boyfriend. For the last months of her life, she was repeatedly beaten, forced to sleep in a bin bag in a bath tub, burned and starved. When she was given food, she was forced to eat like a dog. Before her death, she had multiple hospital admissions and social services referrals with numerous professionals concerned for her wellbeing. Sadly, failures by numerous public agencies meant Victoria didn't receive the protection she desperately needed. An inquiry ultimately found that her death was preventable and identified numerous issues with how her case was handled. Her Great Aunt (shown in the photo) and her boyfriend were sentenced to life and remain incarcerated today. If yo...

Kelly Anne Bates has the worst death in history

Kelly Anne Bates Junko Furuta also had a most horrific death but Kelly Anne Bates falls into the same category. She was tortured over a 4 week period by her ‘boyfriend’ until she died but not just torture but torture of the most evil nature. What sticks in my mind is that her eyes were gouged out at least 5 days before her death and possible up to the 3 weeks. Subsequently she was stabbed in her empty eye sockets. An extract from Wikipedia says: William Lawler, the Home Officepathologist who examined her body, said: "In my career, I have examined almost 600 victims of homicide but I have never come across injuries so extensive." The following injuries were found on Bates' body: Scalding to her buttocks and left leg Burns on her thigh caused by the application of a hot iron A fractured arm Multiple stab wounds caused by knives, forks and scissors Stab wounds inside her mouth Crush injuries to both hands Mutilation of her ears, nose, eyebrows, mouth, lips and genitalia ...

She forbade her boys to make any friends and taught them that the outside world was evil and that all women except her were instruments of the devil. Soon, Gein's brother was found de*ad on the family property under mysterious circumstances and he was left all alone with his mother. When she di*ed soon after, Gein lost his "one true love" and further secluded himself inside the house, much of which he turned into a shrine to her. It was a dark, windy night back in 2002. Glendale Police were called to a silent alarm at a fancy house in a nice hillside neighborhood

It was a dark, windy night back in 2002. Glendale Police were called to a silent alarm at a fancy house in a nice hillside neighborhood. When they got there, the strong wind had knocked out all the power in the area. The front door of the house was wide open. No one answered when the officers knocked or shouted, “Anybody here?” So they went in with flashlights. In the living room, they found something shocking. A fake body lay on the floor with what looked like a bullet hole in the forehead. To the officers, it looked real — someone was clearly dead, and it had to be murder. Before they could lock down the scene, they had to search the house to make sure the killer wasn’t still there. They broke down doors and looked in every place someone might be hiding. While they waited for the Los Angeles County Coroner to arrive, the officers tried not to mess up any possible evidence. They left the “body” right where it was. A little while later, the owner of the house, Jerry Quist, came ...

In March 1997, Noreen Gosch was woken up by a knock at her door at 2:30 in the morning

In March 1997, Noreen Gosch was woken up by a knock at her door at 2:30 in the morning. When she opened it, she says she saw her son Johnny — the same boy who had gone missing 15 years earlier while delivering newspapers at age 12. Standing next to him was a man she didn’t know. Johnny told her that he had been taken and forced into a sḛx trafficking ring. He said he managed to escape for a short time just to see her, but warned her not to call the police. Then, just as quickly as he arrived, he left — and Noreen says she hasn’t seen him since. Many people, including investigators and even Johnny’s father, don’t believe her story. But Noreen wasn’t the only one who claimed to see Johnny after he disappeared. In the years after Johnny went missing from his neighborhood in Iowa in 1982, there were strange reports from all over the country. One woman in Tulsa, Oklahoma said a boy came up to her in public and cried, “Please, lady, help me! My name is John David Gosch,” before two men pulle...
