Video  The woman, a mother of two, jumped into the river at night to mark the Orthodox Epiphany, a tradition where dipping in freezing water is believed to have healing properties. The incident, captured on video, showed her wearing a swimsuit and crossing her heart before leaping into the river.  Unfortunately, she was quickly dragged under the ice by a fast-moving current, despite a man, believed to be her husband, diving in after her. Rescue divers initiated a search, but the woman has not been found and is presumed to have drowned. Acclaimed photographer Jacob Cockle was just 28 when the video was shot in a bid to make a sensational piece of footage online. Having won awards for his sea photography from the likes of National Geographic and The Sunday Times,   Cockle was known for capturing the best shots possible by using increasingly dangerous tactics. Described by those who knew him as a ‘daredevil’ who was obsessed with the ocean, Cockle found his calling in the water and taking pictures of surfers, boats and whirlpools.
