An Arlington woman who was hospitalized after she and a child were attacked in Pentagon City died from her injuries Friday, police say. ARLINGTON, VA — A second-degree murder charge has been added to the criminal counts 23-year-old Leonardo Reyes already faces in connection to a stabbing incident that occurred earlier this month in Pentagon City. Reyes was facing aggravated malicious wounding, contributing to the delinquency of a child, and child abuse charges for attacking a woman around 9:45 p.m. on Dec. 14. At the time, the woman was holding a child as she was walking in the 900 block of Army Navy Drive. Reyes approached, stabbed the victims with a knife, and fled on foot, according to Arlington County Police. The woman and the young girl suffered lacerations and were taken to the hospital, police said, adding the toddler was in stable condition and the woman was in serious but stable condition.
