Robert Maudsley, one of Britain's most vicious serial ǩillḛrs was born on this day, June 26, 1953. Maudsley grew up in a family of twelve children with abusive parents. At one point, he was locked away in a basement for six months, only ever visited by his dad, who would beat him multiple times a day. Maudsley committed his first m̃urdḛr in 1974, strangling a man named John Farrell after learning that Farrell was a child molester. He surrendered to the police and was sent to a mental hospital.
