Unbeknownst to the people in the photo, a human body was hidden inside the barrel. The body in question belonged to Edwina Boyle, who lived with her husband Frederick Boyle in Melbourne, Australia. The Boyles had two daughters named Careesa and Sharon, their family life was like any other, at a superficial glance. In 1983, the Boyle family's life was turned upside down by Edwina's sudden disappearance. Frederick had told his daughters that Edwina had left a note saying that she had gone away with a truck driver named Ray. For several years, the Boyles' life had gone on without many problems. Not everyone believed Frederick's version, to the point that Valerie Bordley, Edwina's sister, had shown great concern and had reported her missing in 1994. On the night of June 13 1982 in Houston Texas-police stopped a black Buick after a pedesn-reported being nearly The police officer who stopped the car, James Harris, ordered the two to get out of the car and put their hands on the hood. While Ricardo was following orders, Roberto pulled out a gun and shot the police officer four times, killing him. Both boys then ran from the scene, and while fleeing, Roberto shot at a passing car, killing the driver. The police then cordoned off the neighborhood where the shooting took place, searching for the two boys. Roberto was found a couple of hours later, hiding in a garage, from where he fired again at another police officer, missing but being killed in the shootout. This 19 year old young man is Seth Smith. On June 15th, 2020 Seth was walking home, on his own street, about a mile away and listening to music. Which is when this man; Tony Walker, walked up behind Seth, shot him in the head, and said ‘Fuck that White motherfucker’. (Edit, according to Police reports Walker was annoyed about being questioned about the murder. From normal things like singing, playing piano and just talking, to things like running across roads with cars going at high speeds, to standing on the edge of high up places. On the night of November 24, 2013 she held a livestream, the stream starting with a shot of her upper body and half-covered face. A minute after the start, she appears to stand in a what appears to be a chair into an elevated position, likely a balcony’s guard rail. From there you can hear the wind and some background noises. After a few minutes or so, after picking up the camera you can hear her breathing heavily. Taken on 13 April 1961, this is last photo of 24 year old Czech maternity nurse Marie Fikackova, just a few moments before she was executed by short drop hanging in the execution cell of Pankrac Prison in Prague. Fikackova was convicted and sentenced to death for murdering two new born babies who were in her care at Suscie Hospital in Czechslovakia. She was by all accounts a popular and respected nurse at her hospital, but one with a dark secret in that she couldn't stand the crying of newborns. She tried to silence the babies by pushing on their craniums, which of course killed both. She also confessed that she had killed and harmed a number of other babies, but this was never proved. I find the picture haunting, as Fikackova looks so calm and normal, despite the fact that she is going to face her imminent death.
