Michael Taylor, born 1944, became notable in 1974 as a result of Ossett murder case and his alleged demonic possession in England

Michael Taylor, born 1944, became notable in 1974 as a result of Ossett murder case and his alleged demonic possession in England. Taylor lived in Havercroft, Ossett, working as a butcher. In 1974, Taylor's wife, Christine Taylor, stated to a Christian Fellowship Group to which Taylor belonged, that his relationship with the lay leader of the group, Marie Robinson, was "carnal" in nature. Michael Taylor admitted that he felt evil within him and eventually attacked Robinson verbally, who screamed back at him. During the next meeting, Michael Taylor received an absolution, but nevertheless, his behaviour continued to become more erratic. As a result, the local vicar called in other ministers experienced in deliverance in preparation to cast out the demons residing within the man. The exorcism, which occurred on 5–6 October 1974 at St. Thames Church in Barnsley, was headed by Father Peter Vincent, an Anglican priest of St. Thomas's in Gawber, and was aided by a Methodist...

In 1972, a dog brought something very strange to the back door of his owner’s home

In 1972, a dog brought something very strange to the back door of his owner’s home He had sniffed out an almost completely decomposed human forearm on a cliff top in Springfield, New Jersey and dragged it back to its master who realized with a great shock what it was. The man informed the police and, after a short search, they found the remains of the body to which the arm belonged. The remains were that of Jeannette DePalma, a teenager who had been missing for six weeks. Not only did they find her decomposed body, but there were strange objects on the ground where it lay. Rumors began to fly that the girl had been sacrificed by a local coven of witches. Others believed that Satanists murdered her for occult ritual purposes. The strangest thing about the murder, however, was the fact that no one wanted to speak about it when an article about the incident was in its planning stages. Even after 30 years, people who lived in the area refused to comment or give their opinions on ...
