Police filmed getting heavy handed with suspects in parking lot outside McDonald's in McFarland, California Cops were filmed beating a suspect lying in the parking lot of a  California  McDonald's with a large nightstick as horrified onlookers pleaded for them to stop. The confrontation happened after an argument between an officer from McFarland police and customers inside the door, leading to a chase outside.  There, police were filmed hitting suspects and tackling them to the ground. While there, the suspect squirmed in police custody as one officer hit him in the legs with a large baton It's unclear what led police to confront the customers or if anyone was charged with a  crime . This boy is a young teenager named John Joseph McCabe. John lived in Tewksbury, MA with his parents and two sisters. In 1969, he was a 15-year-old high school student. On the evening of September 26th of that year, John had innocently gone to a community center in town to attend a dance that was being held for local teenagers. However, John did not return home after the dance. His parents spent a terrifying and frantic night looking for him, but could not find him. The next morning, three boys were cutting through a vacant field in Lowell, a mill town which neighbored John’s hometown of Tewksbury. In the field, they stumbled upon John’s body. He had been gagged and hogtied, and his cause of death had been strangulation from the rope that was used to tie him. Of course, police launched a full-scale investigation to find the murderers. Eight years after the 2004 disappearance of UMass student, a series of creepy videos hit the Internet. In one, an old man cackles into the camera before the screen goes black and the phrase “Happy Anniversary” appears. They were posted by a user called Mr112dirtbag. The true identity behind the user has yet to be uncovered. On February 9, 2004, Murray’s wrecked car was discovered on Route 112 in New Hampshire. She was never found. Naturally, when the videos surfaced, people who saw them said the uploader likely had something to do with Murray’s disappearance. The user's name, a seeming reference to the New Hampshire roadway where the car was discovered, added fuel to the theory. Maura Murray's family dismissed the videos as “cruel and hideous.” After investigators watched the videos, they said there was nothing in them that could be used as evidence. Mo...

A colorized photograph from the 1910s always gives me the creeps — it shows an elderly Charles Allen Lechmere. A suspect of the  Jack the Ripper  crimes. He was spotted at the crime scene by another man, standing over the body of one of the victims, her wounds so fresh blood had not yet begun to show. When he walked towards the other bystander, Robert Paul, Paul was frightened and felt he was about to be attacked, himself. He didn’t attack Paul — instead, he told him to “go and find a policeman” which they did. Lechmere gave his name only as “Charles Cross”. Thus lying, giving a false name. It is only in the year 2000, 112 years later, that researchers discovered Cross and Lechmere are one and the same. Turns out Lechmere was a delivery man whose route took him  exactly  past all the known crime scenes of the five confirmed Jack the Ripper victims.
