These photos at first glance do not seem suspicious, but upon closer inspection, you can see a large green barrel at the bottom
Unbeknownst to the people in the photo, a human body was hidden inside the barrel.
The body in question belonged to Edwina Boyle, who lived with her husband Frederick Boyle in Melbourne, Australia.
The Boyles had two daughters named Careesa and Sharon, their family life was like any other, at a superficial glance.
In 1983, the Boyle family's life was turned upside down by Edwina's sudden disappearance.
Frederick had told his daughters that Edwina had left a note saying that she had gone away with a truck driver named Ray.
For several years, the Boyles' life had gone on without many problems.

The police themselves suspected Frederick, as his wife had not brought her clothes with her and had abandoned the car.
Several years would pass before the truth came to light.
Careesa, the eldest daughter, had meanwhile become engaged to Michael Hegarty.
Michael had become suspicious when he saw the barrel in the garden for the first time in the 90s.
It was in August 2006 that Michael, driven by curiosity, decided to open the barrel, finding women's clothes and a large jute bag.
Two weeks later Michael looked inside the bag and found some bones, thus leading to the intervention of the police.
The bones in question were analyzed and it was discovered that they were Edwina's.
When cornered, Frederick confessed to shooting his wife to death on October 6, 1983, and then hiding her body.
The marriage was in serious trouble before the murder because Frederick was cheating on Edwina. In fact, during the trial, Careesa said she heard her parents arguing the night before Edwina disappeared.
In 2008, Frederick, now fifty-eight, was sentenced to 21 years in prison by the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Moreover, the barrel had not always been in the back garden; over the years, Frederick had moved several times, taking it with him. Continue reading
