A seventeen year old girl named Lisa McVey had been abused at home for many years

A seventeen year old girl named Lisa McVey had been abused at home for many years, sometimes even molested at gunpoint by a relative. She was ready to end her life, and began writing a suicide note explaining why she did what she set out to do… The very next day — the day she decided would be her last — McVey was kidnapped by a man named Bobby Joe Long, a serial killer with ten previous victims. McVey decided she would talk her way to freedom, and was able to persuade Long to let her go. She made sure to be sociable, friendly, agreeable and evoke pity by telling him she was an only child and her father was terribly ill. It worked, and McVey was released. She then went home and committed to memory all the details she remembered of her abductor, his house, his car and the directions they took. Despite having been blindfolded, her descriptions were so accurate they ultimately led to his capture. She’d also deliberately left fingerprints all over his house in unguarded moments — she’d been...

The next few days were pure horror. Soldiers started rounding up Jews and hanging them in the streets. In one single day, more than five thousand people were killed. Little Roza, her mom, and her dad were forced into a group of survivors marched to old warehouses and barns outside town. A three-year-old girl must have been so frightened and confused, holding tight to her parents’ hands. A magnificent five-bedroom Victorian mansion set in two acres of land. This house was expected to be snapped up when it went on the market

A magnificent five-bedroom Victorian mansion set in two acres of land. This house was expected to be snapped up when it went on the market Instead it lies in a state of disrepair, with broken windows, dozens of tyres piled up along one side and its lawns scorched. The reason for its grisly state is due to a disturbing incident which saw the owner stab his wife to death in a bedroom rage almost seven years ago. Solicitor Christopher Lumsden stabbed his wife Alison around 30 times after she informed him she was leaving him for a family friend. He slashed her face and neck so many times that a pathologist was unable to count the exact number of blows. The property is in Oakleigh, Bowdon, Cheshire and can be yours for £2 million. A real bargain considering that you will most likely buy included in the price, poltergeists and various ectoplasms, a great idea for creating a "shining" hotel.  Continue reading

Vanished Without a Trace: The Mystery of 2-Year-Old Diane Prevost

Vanished Without a Trace: The Mystery of 2-Year-Old Diane Prevost On September 17, 1966, two-year-old Diane Prevost went missing during a family trip to Grundy Lake Provincial Park, about an hour southeast of Sudbury, Ontario. What was meant to be a happy day by the lake turned into a tragedy that has stayed with her family for nearly sixty years. That afternoon, Diane was with her parents, four siblings, and grandparents. While her mother took some of the children further down the beach to catch frogs, Diane stayed near her father, who was fishing. Unlike her brothers and sisters, she was scared of the water and kept away from the shore. At one point, Diane said she wanted to go back to the campsite where her grandparents were waiting, only about 500 feet away. Her father told her he would take her once he finished untangling his fishing line. But when he looked up, Diane was no longer there. Her parents quickly raised the alarm, and police began a large search of both the land and wa...
