Miranda Barbou and Elytte Barbour were lovers who later got married. One of the things they wanted to do together was kill someone

Miranda Barbou and Elytte Barbour were lovers who later got married. One of the things they wanted to do together was kill someone. Three weeks after their wedding, Miranda placed an ad on Craigslist offering to have s-ex with a man in exchange for $100. Troy LaFerrara was the unfortunate man who responded to the ad. Image: LaFerrara’s wife (bottom left), and LaFerrara. On November 11, 2013, Miranda and LaFerrara met at a parking lot in Hummel's Wharf, Pennsylvania. After the payment was finalized, they drove in Miranda's car to a place where they were supposed to carry out the act, but Miranda's husband, who was hiding in the backseat of the car under a blanket, jumped out and strangled LaFerrara before Miranda stabbed him to d-eath. LaFerrara's body was discovered the next day, and his last phone call led the investigators to Miranda and her husband. On September 18, 2014, they were sentenced to life in prison without the chance of parole. In this cas...

The Story of Gina DeJesus and Her Kidnapping

The Story of Gina DeJesus and Her Kidnapping Gina DeJesus (left) was 14 years old in 2004, and so was her best friend Arlene Castro (right). The two girls were close friends. On April 2, 2004, Gina lent Arlene 50 cents so she could call her mom. They planned to have a sleepover at Gina's house. But when Arlene called her mom, she was told to come home right away. So, Arlene said goodbye to Gina, and the two friends went their separate ways. With only 50 cents left, Gina didn’t have enough money for the bus ride home, so she decided to walk instead. On her way home, Gina was stopped by Arlene’s father. He was a bus driver at her school, and she knew him well. He offered to give her a ride. But Gina never made it home. The man who took her was 44-year-old Ariel Castro. He kidnapped Gina, took her to a hidden part of his house, and chained her up. She was kept with two other women, Michelle Knight and Amanda Berry, who were also held captive by Castro. The three women...

In 1971, 46-year-old John List lost his job at a bank and couldn't bear to tell his family the truth

In 1971, 46-year-old John List lost his job at a bank and couldn't bear to tell his family the truth. After a failed job search, he would later say that he had only one option: murdering his family and disappearing. He believed that without money, his family would turn away from God and therefore miss heaven. To ensure they went to heaven, he decided to murder them while their hearts were still right with God. After methodically shooting his wife, mother, and two children, List made himself a sandwich, closed all his bank accounts, and cheered for his only surviving son, John, at his high school soccer game. He gave him a ride back to their Westfield, New Jersey, home, then shot him in the chest. He slept in the mansion where his family lay dead, then walked out the door the next morning. He changed his name, relocated to Colorado, and even got married. He was arrested 18 years later and died in prison.  Continue reading

Executing The Beautiful Spectre.

Executing The Beautiful Spectre. Seen here are several former SS camp guards and overseers executed after the first Stutthof trial, in 1946. The Stutthof trials were a series of war crime tribunals held in Poland for the prosecution of former Stutthof concentration camp staff and officials. The Stutthof concentration camp was the first German concentration camp outside German borders in WWII, located near the village of Stutthof, Free City of Danzig(now Gdánsk, Poland). Stutthof was originally a civilian internment camp, but eventually expanded and became a vast network of forced-labor camps. It turned into a regular concentration camp in early 1942. A crematorium and gas chamber were added in 1943-44, to be used as a part of the final solution. Over 60 000 prisoners of Stutthof and its subcamps died as a result of executions, disease, starvation, brutal treatment, forced labour ,and death marches after forced evacuations. Hanged at Barlinnie: James Smith, the dancefloor killer who struck in Royston hall

IT was murder on the dancefloor, quite literally, in the case of James Smith. The 21-year-old didn't go to the dancehall to meet his sweetheart or show off his moves. A visit to a dance gave Smith the opportunity to fight. On November 17, 1951, the Evening Times reported on Smith's arrest, which happened hours after he killed a father-of-two. Martin Malone was among the 500 people who had poured into the Ancient Order of Hibernians at Royston Road to boogie the night away on November. The 35-year-old was at the dance with his wife, above. He had been working on board a ship at Ardrossan and arrived at his home in Acrehill Street, Blackhill, hours before the dance. His wife gave him a ticket for the dance and went ahead as she was ready. Malone joined her later and his encounter with Smith forced the couple apart forever. Smith is escorted from his court hearing The day after the dance Smith was arrested at around 5am at a house in Blackhill in connection with the murd...

The Case of Peter Bergmann

The Case of Peter Bergmann In June 2009, a man with graying hair and a leather jacket arrived in Sligo, Ireland, on a bus. His intention, it seems, was to disappear without a trace. His whereabouts and real name remain a mystery; the only thing that is certain is that he traveled extensively to erase all evidence of his existence before dying on a beach at Rosses Point. When his body was found, he had no documents with him, nor anything that could give any clue to his identity. Even the labels on his clothes had been removed. The man arrived at the Sligo bus station on June 12, 2009 at 6:28 p.m. He was carrying a shoulder bag and a larger duffel bag. He took a taxi to the Sligo City Hotel, paid for his room in cash, and gave the name Peter Bergmann and an address in Austria. The man had a strong German accent, but investigations after his death revealed that there is no Peter Bergmann in Europe, America or South America who fits the description of the mystery man and that th...

The strangest or most eerie true crime cases you have read about

⚘ The beginning ⚘ The man in the picture above is Issei Sagawa. His desire to do the things that he did began with a dream. Apparently, one night Issei dreamed that he and his brother were being boiled in a pot getting ready to get eaten. After that, he began to fantasize about what it would be like to eat another human’s flesh. At a young age, he would sit in class and fantasize about biting another boy’s thigh. These thoughts became an obsession. He never went through with his thoughts at this point but whenever he saw a woman walking the street he would wonder what it would be like to eat her. And unfortunately for European women he thought they were perfect. Thankfully, he wasn’t really able to encounter one he liked. ⚘ The break-in ⚘ One day Issei decided to follow a woman home because he wanted to eat her. He waited it out a bit and when he broke in she was asleep. He didn’t have the intent to kill her, but to only cut a piece of her flesh and take it with him. To...

These photos at first glance do not seem suspicious, but upon closer inspection, you can see a large green barrel at the bottom

Unbeknownst to the people in the photo, a human body was hidden inside the barrel. The body in question belonged to Edwina Boyle, who lived with her husband Frederick Boyle in Melbourne, Australia. The Boyles had two daughters named Careesa and Sharon, their family life was like any other, at a superficial glance. In 1983, the Boyle family's life was turned upside down by Edwina's sudden disappearance. Frederick had told his daughters that Edwina had left a note saying that she had gone away with a truck driver named Ray. For several years, the Boyles' life had gone on without many problems. Not everyone believed Frederick's version, to the point that Valerie Bordley, Edwina's sister, had shown great concern and had reported her missing in 1994. The police themselves suspected Frederick, as his wife had not brought her clothes with her and had abandoned the car. Several years would pass before the truth came to light. Careesa, th...

On the night of June 13 1982 in Houston Texas-police stopped a black Buick after a pedesn-reported being nearly

On the night of June 13 1982 in Houston Texas-police stopped a black Buick after a pedesn-reported being nearly The police officer who stopped the car, James Harris, ordered the two to get out of the car and put their hands on the hood. While Ricardo was following orders, Roberto pulled out a gun and shot the police officer four times, killing him. Both boys then ran from the scene, and while fleeing, Roberto shot at a passing car, killing the driver. The police then cordoned off the neighborhood where the shooting took place, searching for the two boys. Roberto was found a couple of hours later, hiding in a garage, from where he fired again at another police officer, missing but being killed in the shootout. Ricardo was found shortly after hiding under a trailer, arrested, and taken to the crime scene, where the police were interviewing witnesses. This 19 year old young man is Seth Smith. On June 15th, 2020 Seth was walking home, on his own street, about a mile away and listening to music

This 19 year old young man is Seth Smith. On June 15th, 2020 Seth was walking home, on his own street, about a mile away and listening to music. Which is when this man; Tony Walker, walked up behind Seth, shot him in the head, and said ‘Fuck that White motherfucker’. (Edit, according to Police reports Walker was annoyed about being questioned about the murder. He was bothered that the police were looking into the murder saying ‘a White boy dies and the whole world stops. Fuck that White mothetfucker. The police had not mentioned the victims race previously. So it was a few weeks later when Walker made his race relates statement, not immediately after. As far as I'm concerned, that just makes it that much more heinous. Clearly he had zero remorse, and was more bothered by the police questioning him than the life he took.) Seth and Tony had never met each other before that night. Seth never even saw Walker. Walker later said that he had gone out ...

A 14 year old girl, shortly before her death. Right; Her camera continues to record until the battery dies

Left; A 14 year old girl, shortly before her death. Right; Her camera continues to record until the battery dies “Rorochan_1999” or better known as Roro-chan was a Niconico streamer back in 2013. She would do a range of things in her live-streams. From normal things like singing, playing piano and just talking, to things like running across roads with cars going at high speeds, to standing on the edge of high up places. On the night of November 24, 2013 she held a livestream, the stream starting with a shot of her upper body and half-covered face. A minute after the start, she appears to stand in a what appears to be a chair into an elevated position, likely a balcony’s guard rail. From there you can hear the wind and some background noises. After a few minutes or so, after picking up the camera you can hear her breathing heavily. A few moments later she returns to her balcony floor and presumably at this moment, people watching the stream were egging her on to jump. S...

This is last photo of 24 year old Czech maternity nurse Marie Fikackova, just a few moments before she was executed

Taken on 13 April 1961, this is last photo of 24 year old Czech maternity nurse Marie Fikackova, just a few moments before she was executed by short drop hanging in the execution cell of Pankrac Prison in Prague. Fikackova was convicted and sentenced to death for murdering two new born babies who were in her care at Suscie Hospital in Czechslovakia. She was by all accounts a popular and respected nurse at her hospital, but one with a dark secret in that she couldn't stand the crying of newborns. She tried to silence the babies by pushing on their craniums, which of course killed both. She also confessed that she had killed and harmed a number of other babies, but this was never proved. I find the picture haunting, as Fikackova looks so calm and normal, despite the fact that she is going to face her imminent death. And it would be a painful and long death, since short drop hanging would mean death by slow strangulation, rather than the relatively quick long drop method whe...

How did this terrible thing happen to her? It all started with her father

How did this terrible thing happen to her? It all started with her father. Her father, Clark Wiley, grew up in foster homes and was supposedly a machinist for some time near World War II. After a while he decided to marry. Unfortunately, he had the gall to marry - but lacked the will and heart to raise children. The scumbag’s neglect and madness resulted in the death of his first two children. The first baby girl died after being abandoned in a garage. The second baby died not long after birth. The third baby boy survived, but was constantly abused during childhood. The fourth, known by the pseudo-name Genie, suffered possibly the worst fate of them all. She was strapped to a toilet, isolated from humanity and left to quietly suffer for 13 years. Each time she tried to utter a noise, her father beat her. Operant conditioning, in the end, stripped her of the desire to even make basic noises, let alone speak language. Just let that sink in for a second. Imagine what it would be li...

On February 12, 1946, Isaac Woodard, WWII veteran, hours after being honorably discharged, was attacked by South Carolina police while still in uniform when taking the bus home & left permanently BLIND. The officers were acquitted by an all white jury. Isaac enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1942 at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C, and served in the Pacific Theater as a longshoreman in a labor battalion. In February 1946, the decorated soldier received an honorable discharge at Camp Gordon, which is located near Augusta, Georgia. Along with other discharged soldiers, Woodard boarded a Greyhound bus on February 12th to travel home. A conflict was triggered when the white bus driver belittled the army veteran for asking to take a bathroom break. At the next stop, Woodard was met by the Chief Linwood Shull of the Batesburg, South Carolina police. While still in his army uniform, the police forcibly removed him from the bus and arrested him for disorderly conduct. They beat Wo...
