I hate to tell you that, but the facts are the facts. During the holocaust, young children were used by Nazi guards in the camps and ghettos as shooting drills. It is supported by the court records and history books. This did not always come in by senior bosses- this came in through the dark hearts of common guards.

Janowska camp stands out. Survivors at Nuremberg testified on oath: SS men would use babies or toddlers like dolls and would toss them in the air and pull the trigger to drop them half-way down. On other days they were off after children in the fields, practicing upon moving targets. Pure twisted fun for them.

What drove it? Endless Nazi lies. They trained soldiers that Jews did not qualify as human beings and that they were forest pests. Killing a child? No worse than bagging game. Experienced guards conducted these so-called lessons in order to harden the rookies. Strip away pity. Forge ice-cold killers.

When large groups were taking their last silent steps into the gas chambers, these gestures revealed the solitary creatures in the midst of men. The poison in the brain is planted in the trigger finger. Bit by bit it kills the human within.

Joanna Szydłowska traded her bread to another prisoner for a camera. She was one of 74 Polish women subjected to cruel experiments, including unnecessary surgeries. Doctors cut open some women's legs and intentionally infected them to try to simulate battlefield wounds. Some of the women were given no medication when they became desperately ill. Ravensbrück was liberated on this day in 1945 after most prisoners had been evacuated from the camp. Some of the experimentation victims testified at trials after the war. That same day, her body was examined. It was found that she had suffered serious injuries to her head and neck before being strangled to death about 48 hours before her body was found. Despite many years of hard work by investigators, the identity of the Buckskin Girl remained unknown for over 30 years. On April 9, 2018, the Miami Valley Regional Crime Laboratory announced that they had identified the woman as 21-year-old Marcia Lenore King from Little Rock, Arkansas.
