The process of execution for inmates in Texas
The process is simple.. they move off death row tier, taken to death watch cell 24 hours before their execution.. they eat regular dinner and given a meal menu.:
to fill out what they want.. the prison cook will prepare his last meal that he want.. the next morning and probably most of the of it he spend with his lawyer, clergymen, visit with family and friends.. eat his last meal.. his lawyer been on phone calling courts and waiting for a stay, the condemned will eat lunch and final meal , he will change out his prison clothes, he will put a diaper on and fresh clean prison whites on..
he and the clergyman with the death squad, will take those 13 steps to the death chamber, the clergyman will give on last prayer or lasts rites… and the condemned and death squad will walk into chamber, the guards will strap him / her to the gurney, then the technicians will start finding veins and inserting the tubes.. the warden is already in the chamber watching, as it get close to the time of the execution, the warden will be standing by a set of phones, one to govenor and the other to the appellate court and another to the supreme courts..
if they dont ring, the execution is a go… if they ring the condemned got stay of execution.. so they didn’t ring.. the second of the time of his execution, when the seconds hand hit 12, this is the exact time of execution, and the warden will give the sign to begin the execution.. if they did their job right, the condemned will be dead 6–15 minutes, a doctor will come in to ensure he is deceased .. and the curtain to witness room is close.. the body straps is loosen, the corner hearse been park outside of door if the family want the body..
to be taken to morgue for a burial.. after the autopsy, or if the prison going bury them.. I don’t think the body is autopsy if the prison going to bury them.. but this pretty much how execution are handle.. Continue reading
