In September 2025, anaesthetist Dr. Tiffany Wilkes, 54, and her 8-year-old daughter Clementine checked into a $1,000-per-night Airbnb in Kenmore Hills, Australia. The property required a minimum stay of five nights.
Tiffany had been struggling in recent years. Her mother had passed away, and she had no other family support. In 2023, Tiffany had been hospitalized for involuntary mental health treatment. She had not been able to work for the past 18 months because of her mental health.
