Neighbor Murdered
First of all to feed your imagination, since I don't have the photo of my neighbor, this is me and my sister who were one of a few; who saw the scene:
I was asleep on my bed at 9 p.m., getting some sleep for my night shift at a job I recently got. I’m a programmer working as a CSR for now, reserving some money for my internship. It was 7th of October which is very recent. My little sister came running into my room excitedly and told me that gun shots are being fired in the street. She is a 7-year-old curly-haired little darling, as shown in the photo, who’s very mildly autistic like I was back in the days. I had heard the first gunshot that was fired in my sleep and I didn't get up. When she, my sister noticed I had to get up and see.
Two men were fighting about 10 meters from my house: one of them was struggling with a hole in his stomach and was down while the other pointed a gun at his forehead to free him from his misery. My father and my two uncles were in our neighbor’s house discussing a dispute that the neighbors had with someone, the same neighbor that had just been shot.
My father, hearing the gunshot, got out of the house to see what had happened - followed by my two uncles. Seeing the situation, he shouted “Don't kill him, don't kill him!” But the man was here to end our neighbor's life. He shot at the gate as a warning and they all went back inside. My father gestured with his hand, commanding me to get inside.
The last thing I saw was blood spattering all over the street and a killer with a bandana on his face in order to hide it; I didn't go inside and he killed him in front of me. The guard in our street went to hide in the corner like a coward. If I had a gun with me I would have shot that bastard down before he killed our neighbor. I live in Pakistan and that was the first time I had seen someone get killed right in front of my eyes. For my little sister it was enthralling and fun because she has no idea how horrific that is for me. And that is by far, the worst crime I have ever seen. Continue reading
