John List killed his significant other, mother and 3 youngsters on November 9, 1971 in his Westfield New Jersey home, then vanished.
The homicides were so carefully arranged that a month passed before anybody thought the mass homicide.
John List accepted another I.D., remarried, and, evaded equity for quite a long time.
List took the name of his school flat mate, Bob Clark, moved to Denver, found a new line of work as a bookkeeper, ran a vehicle pool for shut-in chapel individuals
what's more, carried on with an ordinary life until "America's Most Wanted" described the wrongdoing in May 1989.
Fourteen days after the transmission on Fox TV, John List was captured after a neighbor perceived the depiction and called the police.
He remained by his new assumed name until the arraignment matched fingerprints at the crime location to List's tactical records.
In 1990, John List was indicted for 5 counts of first degree murder sentence to 5 terms of life detainment.
