Around 10:00 p.m. on November 26, 2000, 14 Falun Gong practitioners were detained in Qian'an City Detention Center. They came from all over the country and were detained here because they went to Beijing to appeal. The Qian'an City Public Security Bureau forced these Falun Gong practitioners to reveal their names and home addresses.
Because the Falun Gong practitioners did not cooperate with their demands, they subjected them to inhuman torture and cruelty in order to force the 14 Falun Gong practitioners to reveal their names and addresses. The police forced the 14 Falun Gong practitioners to kneel on the ground, tied their hands tightly and hung them around their necks, pulled their hair, and used ropes, belts, and shoe soles to whip the Falun Gong practitioners' heads and faces. Blood continued to flow down...
A young female Falun Gong practitioner was numbered L25 because she refused to give her name.
According to prisoner A who shared the same cell with L25, when L25 was sent to Qian'an City Detention Center, she wore a suit and leather shoes, and used high-end items. She was polite and kind when talking to people. Even the worst prisoners in the cell liked her very much and were willing to associate with her. When eating, there was only a palm-sized corn ball for lunch, but she broke off a piece and gave it to A to eat. This was the case for every meal. When some prisoners asked her for clothes, she gladly gave them to them.

At 8 a.m. one morning in early January 2001, the police called L25 out of the cell and forced her to tell them her name. She said firmly, "You have no right to interrogate me. I have not committed any crime. Falun Gong practitioners are good people." Peng Minghui, Pu Yonglai, Ha Fulong, Wang Shiwu, Liu Yong and others were furious and brutally persecuted her. They burned her nose with a lighter until it was burnt; they pulled her hair and slammed her against the ground and the wall, and her hair was pulled out in large clumps; they crushed her feet with their leather shoes until L25's feet were crushed into two bloody little lumps of flesh, and her toenails were twisted off; Ha Fulong kicked her with his leather shoes until the shoes flew off, and L25 crawled over to pick up Ha Fulong's shoes and put them on him. Ha Fulong continued to kick her, and after a few rounds, Ha Fulong, whose eyes were red with anger, was finally changed by L25's kindness and he stopped. They also used belts and ropes to whip L25's face and mouth. Her teeth were all loose and she couldn't eat. Her eyelashes were pulled out and bamboo sticks were nailed to her ten fingers... When she fainted, the police poured cold water on her body and continued to torture her after she woke up. This time, the police tortured her for 14 hours. They didn't drag her back to the cell until after 11 o'clock that night. There was a bloody streak on the ground. Witnesses said that she was tortured to a bloody mess and was dying. Just looking at her clothes, her injuries were horrible: her left eyelashes and eyebrows were completely pulled out, her nose was burned by the police, her feet were shackled, and the bones of her ankles were exposed. The socks on her feet were stuck to the bones...
The prisoners in the same cell didn't even dare to look at her. It was a horrible sight. The police ignored the seriously injured L25 until February 20, when she fell unconscious. Then they dragged her to Qian'an City Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. On February 21, L25 died in Qian'an City Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In order to cover up their heinous crimes, the evildoers cremated L25's body on the same day and announced to the public that she died of "cerebral hemorrhage."
She was beaten to death by the Qian'an City police. Until her death, L25 did not reveal her real name and address in order to prove that Falun Dafa is the righteous way and Falun Gong practitioners are innocent.
The main persons responsible for this case are: Qiu Jiandong, deputy director of Qian'an Public Security Bureau (the leader of the beating team), Peng Minghui, chief of the Political Security Section of Qian'an Public Security Bureau, police officer Ha Fulun, and directors of Cuizhuang Detention Center Hui Zhijiang and Wang Heying.
Pei Cuirong, a Falun Gong practitioner from the Qian'an Shougang Mine Mobile Factory, was tortured in Tangshan Kaiping Labor Camp because of her persistence in her belief in "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance." She passed away unjustly in late June 2003.
On January 8, 2001, Pei Cuirong went to Beijing's Tiananmen Square and shouted "Falun Dafa is good" and "Falun Dafa is the righteous way." However, she was kidnapped and sentenced to forced labor for such a lawful act of peacefully and rationally expressing her feelings.

On January 11, 2001, Pei Cuirong was sent to Qian'an City Detention Center by the Shougang Mine Public Security Branch. Pei Cuirong had gone on hunger strike twice to protest and demand her release. In late March 2001, she was illegally sentenced to two years of reeducation through labor by the Qian'an City Public Security Bureau and transferred to Tangshan Kaiping Reeducation Through Labor Center, where she suffered inhuman torture. Pei Cuirong still insisted on her belief while enduring beatings and kicks. The police used electric batons to shock Pei Cuirong's chest and body until her feces came out. Her body was purple and black. She suffered unbearable inhuman torture every day in Kaiping Reeducation Through Labor Center. One day, she went into shock and was sent to a hospital in Tangshan. Because she had no money to stay in the hospital, she was later transferred to Shougang Mine Hospital. In the days that followed, she often fainted and lost consciousness suddenly, and it took a long time for her to wake up. After repeating this several times, Pei Cuirong passed away unjustly in late June 2003.
3. Falun Gong practitioner Xu Shufen was tortured to death in Qian'an City Detention Center
Xu Shufen, female, from Jilanzhuang, Qian'an City, was persecuted to death in Qian'an City Detention Center on November 6, 2002. She was only 49 years old.
On the morning of September 28, 2002, Zhang Man, director of the Chengguan Branch of the Qian'an Public Security Bureau, led other police officers to abduct Xu Shufen and take her to the Chengguan Branch for persecution. She was handcuffed and tied up, and Zhang Man beat and kicked her, causing her eye sockets and eyeballs to swell up like small balls, as if blood was about to burst out.
Torture reenactment: beating |
At around 7:00 p.m. on September 28, 2002, Xu Shufen was abducted to Qian'an City Detention Center and illegally detained. During that time, Xu Shufen was subjected to inhuman persecution. She was insulted and verbally abused by the detention center police officer Shao Yanhong, who threatened to beat her to death. In addition to being beaten and scolded by the detention center police, she was also subjected to varying degrees of insults and beatings every time she was illegally interrogated.
On November 5, 2002, the day before Xu Shufen passed away from persecution, police officer Guo Zhiqiang handcuffed her to an iron gate and did not let her down until after 11 o'clock in the evening.
The next morning, Xu Shufen, who had not slept all night and had not eaten, became ill. She lay on the bed. The Falun Gong practitioners in the same room saw that Xu Shufen was getting worse and worse. She was sweating all over and had difficulty breathing. Gradually, Xu Shufen lost consciousness. The prison doctor Chen Xue and the police officer surnamed Feng came to the cell and forcibly pulled her out of the bed, saying that she was pretending to be dead. Then they threw her heavily onto the bed. They pulled her back and forth three or four times, shaking the bed board up and down, causing Xu Shufen's condition to worsen. An hour later, when they measured Xu Shufen's blood pressure, it was so high that the blood pressure meter could not measure it. Not long after being carried out of the cell, she died.
