Colton Harris Moore aka the “Barefoot Bandit,” a Washington kid who began living in the wild at age 7.

He was responsible for over 100 thefts including 6 airplanes, and committed 67 felonies in 3 different countries while on the run from the FBI for 3 years, all while he was just 16 years old. He learned to pilot by playing flight simulators, and reading educational flight textbooks that he also stole.

He was finally apprehended after crash-landing in the Bahamas with a Cesna he stole in Indiana, which led to a high speed boat chase. Colton was sentenced to 7 years in prison in 2012, and was released in 2016.
