Zalmon Gradowski was a Polish Jevw captured and imprisoned in Auschwitz-Birkenau. His entire family was taken with him, and many did not survive the brutal selection process upon arrival. Zalmon did. He was assigned to work in the gas chambers and later in the crematorium-a sentence of unimaginable horror. Even writing the words "assigned duties" feels wrong. This was not a farm, not a factory, not anything that resembled life as we know it. These were human beings, treated worse than animals, by other human beings. And yet, in the spirit of honoring those who bore the unbearable, I continue- humbled and in awe of Mr. Gradowski and his sacrifice. Zalmon was part of the Sonderkommando: a group of Jewish prisoners forced to assist in the machinery of death. Police say that a Maryland inmate who was released from jail over coronavirus concerns stabbed a 63-year-old man to death in late July.  Justin Wilson, 26, of Germantown, Maryland, faces a first degree murder charges for the July 23 death of Edigio Ienzi, 63, also of Germantown. Moment man pulls out a knife and stabs a father to death all caught on doorbell camera A doorbell camera captured the horrific moment a man pulled out a knife and stabbed a father to death. Kane Kotwica, 39, fatally stabbed his 53-year-old neighbour Matthew Cainey and wounded two others in a block of flats on May 28 this year.  The chilling footage from a nearby flat showed the moments leading up to the murder.  It shows Kotwica taking a knife out of his hoodie pocket and stabbing Mr Cainey in his chest as he stood in the hallway of his flat in Gloucester. Mr Cainey's 'heartbroken' daughter said she had moved to the area just nine days before he was killed to be closer to him. Lindsay Ann Hawker was a 22-year-old British teacher who was k-illed in Japan in early 2007 by a man he met on the train, Tatsuya Ichihashi. On the day of the heinous crime, March 24, 2007, Hawker and Ichihashi had agreed to meet in a cafe for a brief English lesson. She had no idea he just wanted to get in her pants. Days later, Hawker's unclad body was found buried on the apartment's balcony; her body had been sprayed with a substance used to compact and decompose waste. Miranda Barbou and Elytte Barbour were lovers who later got married. One of the things they wanted to do together was kill someone. Three weeks after their wedding, Miranda placed an ad on Craigslist offering to have s-ex with a man in exchange for $100. Troy LaFerrara was the unfortunate man who responded to the ad. After the payment was finalized, they drove in Miranda's car to a place where they were supposed to carry out the act, but Miranda's husband, who was hiding in the backseat of the car under a blanket, jumped out and strangled LaFerrara before Miranda stabbed him to d-eath. LaFerrara's body was discovered the next day, and his last phone call led the investigators to Miranda and her husband. 3-year-old Adam Broomhall committed only one crime: waking up Richard Fairchild in the middle of the night. Richard was the boyfriend of Adam’s mother, and he had spent the whole day drinking with her the night he brutally ki-lled the little boy in Del City, Oklahoma on Nov, 4th, 1993. The child woke up crying in the middle of the night like every other child does, Fairchild got angry and started beating the boy before burning his body in a furnace. After this, he smashed the little one on the dining table, he became unconscious and never woke up. The autopsy revealed he di-ed as a result of traumatic brain injury, in total he sustained 26 blows to his body. This man was on dea-th row from 1996 till November 2022. One keeps wondering why dea-th row inmates spend so much time before being executed.
