Jewish woman being executed by female SS guard.

Jewish woman being executed by female SS guard. You noticed how strained the SS Officer's face is. By comparison the Jewish woman's face is calm. She has clearly accepted her fate. Probably her life has been progressively been worse and worse to the point where she is standing naked, waiting to be shot. She looks at peace with what is about to happen in this picture. The guard on the other hand is clearly strained. She is actively mustering her hatred and anger to follow through on something she knows that she doesn't want to do. The SS were a cult based on rage and that guard is trying to summon all the rage necessary to pull the trigger on her calm, placid, and defenseless victim. In this picture I see a guard being traumatized and a women about to be saved from a hellish situation.  Continue reading

Survivors in Dachau berate an SS guard captured by U.S. troops, while in the background American soldiers summarily execute other camp guards

Survivors in Dachau berate an SS guard captured by U.S. troops, while in the background American soldiers summarily execute other camp guards. This picture was taken on April 29, 1945, the day of liberation at Dachau Concentration Camp. The man on the ground is an SS guard moments away from being executed by the inmates standing near him. During his time as a guard, he brutalized and murdered untold numbers of innocent men, women and children. Only at the point of death does he show remorse. He was executed with the shovel in the hand of the inmate on the left. An Allied soldier turns his back, refusing to intervene. On April 29, 1945 members of the 1st Company, 3rd Battalion, 157th Infantry, under the command of Lt. Col. Felix L. Sparks, entered Dachau. There they discovered a train of 36 boxcars bearing the corpses of prisoners who had been transferred to Dachau from other camps in the last weeks of the war. As the soldiers advanced, they found stacks of bodies in other parts of the ...

November 1, 1955 Jack Gilbert Graham placed a bomb in his mother's suitcase and killed 44 people that day

November 1, 1955 Jack Gilbert Graham placed a bomb in his mother's suitcase and killed 44 people that day. Daisy Walker was on her way on a much needed vacation and decided to book a flight to Alaska to visit her daughter. Before her so drove her to the airport, Jack decided to place a bomb in her suitcase.  He thought he planned the perfect murder, as he set the timer on the bomb to go off once she was in the air far away from their city. Once he was at the airport, he bought life insurance on his mother's life, kissed her goodbye and watched her load onto the plane with many other innocent souls. Buying life insurance by passengers was pretty common during the early days of commercial flights. They were readily available in vending machines. The plane departed from New York, landed in Chicago, continued on to Denver picking up more people on the way. The next stop was going to be Seattle but it never arrived as it exploded soon after leaving Denver.... Read sto...

Jeffrey David Matthews, indicted in 1994 for the murder of his 77-year-old great uncle Otis Earl Short, delivered his final words before receiving a lethal injection at Oklahoma State penitentiary. Moments before his death, Jeffrey grinned at his family members and said: "I think that governor's phone is broke. He hadn't called yet." Former Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry had previously granted two stays of execution for Jeffrey upon pending investigations regarding his clai...

Facing their last moments with a smile: The Chinese women about to be executed for drug smuggling

Facing their last moments with a smile: The Chinese women about to be executed for drug smuggling A young woman sits cross-legged on the ground laughing playfully as she is fed a lychee. Another plays cards in pair of baggy pink pyjamas. The moving images could show any group of young women as they go about their daily lives in prison. But just hours - and in some cases minutes - after the pictures were taken, each of the four women were led into a concrete yard and executed. The previously unseen photographs have emerged for the first time in nearly a decade - and give an incredibly rare glimpse into final moments of Chinese prisoners on death row. Communist officials are notoriously guarded about the death penalty, in a country that carries out more executions than any other. But in an unprecedented move, an unnamed civilian photographer was allowed inside No 1 Detention Centre for women in the industrial city of Wuhan, in central China. The man took a series of pictures on June 24, ...

Her head shaved by angry neighbours, a tearful Corsican woman is stripped naked and taunted for consorting with German soldiers during their occupation, September, 1943

Her head shaved by angry neighbours, a tearful Corsican woman is stripped naked and taunted for consorting with German soldiers during their occupation, September, 1943. While consorting with the enemy is indeed bad, some of these women, at least in Western Europe, were themselves victims. Some were hookers before the war who just needed to make ends meet and slept with soldiers along with other people. Some were women whose only way to survive was using a Nazi sugar daddy. Some were rape victims or girls roped into it. When looking at these sorts of events it's important not to see everything in black and white. The Nazis were terrible, people who aided them were terrible, but not all women who slept with Nazis only to be humiliated later deserved what they got. Growing up in a country that was occupied by Germany during WWII, talking to people from that era, I found that just about every single instance of this type of vigilantism was an odious act. It was basically just decrepit...

Reason why the Nazis make people strip naked before being shot or gassed

Reason why the Nazis make people strip naked before being shot or gassed   Why did the Nazis make people strip naked before being shot or gassed? Pictured:   A naked prisoner is led to an execution site, where others either have been shot already or forced to lie face down prior to being shot. The Nazis employed the dehumanizing practice of making people strip naked before being executed or subjected to gas chambers for several interconnected reasons. Firstly, it served to strip victims of their individuality and dignity. By forcing people to remove their clothing, the Nazis aimed to reduce them to mere numbers, degrading their humanity and making it easier for the perpetrators to view them as disposable entities rather than fellow human beings. Secondly, it facilitated the process of disposal and decontamination. Removing clothing reduced the risk of contamination from any potential chemicals or diseases, making it easier for the Nazis to manage the disposal of bodies and min...

Naked Jewish women from the Mizocz ghetto wait in a line before their execution by the German Order Police with the assistance of Ukrainian auxiliaries

Naked Jewish women from the Mizocz ghetto wait in a line before their execution by the German Order Police with the assistance of Ukrainian auxiliaries Locals played a very important role in the mass shootings committed by the Germans in the Baltics and the USSR. In some cases, locals would instigate their own pogroms against Jews once the Germans arrived. Otherwise, local citizens would help the Einsatzgruppen and other units locate Jews in the immediate vicinity and then either assist with or participate in the mass killings. One of the facts that I learned about the Holocaust from my grandfather that has stuck with me even up through today is that we’ll never know truly how many died or who they were. There were people that were murdered, and not only were they murdered, but EVERY SINGLE PERSON that knew them, EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO HAD EVER known them, were also murdered.  center> Try to imagine that. Every last human being you’ve ever come in to contact with, murde...

The cops then took him down, suspecting he was plotting to reach for a gun and either kill himself or engage them in a shootout… There was no pot roast. What there was, however, was a house full of evidence. A...

When California serial killer Richard Ramirez died of cancer in 2013, many of his surviving victims spoke out about his demise. Sakina Abowath, who was assaulted by Ramirez and watched him kill her husband, said, "I've been waiting for this news for the longest time. I wish that they would have hanged him or they would have given him the electric chair so he could feel pain like he inflicted on us... I never forget."
