Here are some things you should NOT do in China. I'll add a quick summary. China does not tolerate the threat of drugs. The penalties are severe, and there is simply no way around it. There are many recent examples where expatriates have been receiving the death penalty. Don't cause trouble with the locals. Don't attack women. The security system is very comprehensive. CCTV cameras are installed in all shops, restaurants, bars, pubs... troublemakers will be caught. Harbin in winter. Don't get involved in politics. For example, Taiwan is a sensitive issue. You can't just say whatever you want. The death penalty for minors. Until a few years ago there were 10 countries that had this law in force: China, Democratic Republic of Congo, Iran, Pakistan, Somalia, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, United States, and Yemen. However, except Iran and Sudan, all others have already abolished the law, including Saudi Arabia, which just announced its abolition yesterday. Why do I say this law is terrible? Under this law, minors accused of a crime they barely knew was lethal under their law are being killed. Now executed, they will have to leave this world. Considering that, if they grow up well, they could eventually become some of the nation's best, a benefit to their families and their countries. On December 17, 1944 a group of 84 American soldiers was taken captive by a German SS unit near the town of Malmedy in Belgium. Footage shows the final moments of a Russian woman named Kamilla Belyatskaya before she was swept away by the ocean while performing yoga on some nearby rocks. Aspiring actor Kamilla was on vacation with her boyfriend on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand when she decided to set up her pink yoga mat by the side of the ocean on Friday (November 29). Kamilla was caught on CCTV footage arriving in a parking lot near the viewpoint shortly before 1pm local time. She could be seen taking her pink mat from the trunk before walking down to the viewpoint, and images from the scene showed Kamilla visible on the rocks, sitting on top of the yoga mat. However, by 1:30pm Bo Phut Police received a report that she had been swept away from the rocks. Video filmed by Patricia Birmingham in 2021 shows her final moments alive before she was shot by her husband, Carey Birmingham. Her husband shot and killed her after he discovered she had an affair.  He was recently sentenced to 10 years in prison for her death and will be up for parole after 5 years. The incident took place in a northwest Harris County home on Dec. 6, 2021. The location was the 19800 block of Rose Dawn Lane, where deputies found Patricia Birmingham dead in the driveway from an apparent gunshot wound. At the time of the incident, investigators found that the husband and his wife were the only people present at the property.
