The most disturbing test the Nazis conducted during WWII

The tests conducted by the Nazis will be up to YOU to decide which one was the most disturbing. Many tests that were conducted were disturbing so deciding which one was the worst would be hard to say.

This list in no particular order.

The lead physician at Auschwitz, Josef Mengele, was fascinated with the Aryan Race and experimented on people whom he would try to make “Aryan.”

This includes turning eyes blue. Mengele was known for injecting blue fluids into people’s eyes in hopes of turning them blue. Not only did these experiments not work, they caused temporary/permanent vision loss and were very painful.

He was deeply fascinated with twins as well. It is recorded how he sewed 2 twins together in order to create conjoined twins. No medical miracle came out of this cruel experiment. The conjoined twins died.

Chloroform was injected into the hearts of twins to study their reactions and to discover if both would die. Both died.

Organs would be removed without anesthetics. I don’t know why exactly Mengele removed organs from live patients. But it helps you understand how it was disturbing.

Pregnant women would be cut open to study the fetus’ effects. If the woman survived, she would be sent to the gas chamber afterward.

Joanna Szydłowska traded her bread to another prisoner for a camera. She was one of 74 Polish women subjected to cruel experiments, including unnecessary surgeries. Doctors cut open some women's legs and intentionally infected them to try to simulate battlefield wounds. Some of the women were given no medication when they became desperately ill. Ravensbrück was liberated on this day in 1945 after most prisoners had been evacuated from the camp. Some of the experimentation victims testified at trials after the war. Despite many years of hard work by investigators, the identity of the Buckskin Girl remained unknown for over 30 years.
