Axl Rose arrested at Kennedy Airport upon his return from a European concert tour. 1992
The infamous Riverport Riot of 1991 sparked a feud between Axl Rose and St. Louis that lasted over two decades. After AxI’s heated confrontation with security and the subsequent riot instigated by a local motorcycle gang, Guns N’ Roses wouldn’t perform in the city again for years.
Rose was charged with four counts of misdemeanor assault and one count of property damage stemming from the riot during their concert.
Rose pleaded innocent to the charges, and was later given two years probation and forced to donate $50,000 to charity.
