New Delhi: A white tiger killed a 20-year-old man who apparently fell into its enclosure at the Delhi zoo on Tuesday

Around 1 pm, the man, Maqsood, fell 18 feet into a dry moat in the tiger enclosure, eyewitnesses said. Moments later, the full-grown tiger could be seen dragging him off by the neck

Some said he lost his balance while trying to get a closer look; the zoo authorities claimed he jumped in despite warnings.

"He crossed the barrier of the enclosure and jumped in," said Zoo Director Amitabh Agnihotri. Other officials said a guard had warned Maqsood after he crossed the outer fence and had even brought him out, but he went back in "He crossed the barrier of the enclosure and jumped in," said Zoo Director Amitabh Agnihotri. The police have registered a case of death due to negligence against unknown accused

A witness said he raced to the tiger enclosure after hearing screams, to see the man locked in the tiger's jaws, writhing in pain. "No one helped him," said Himanshu, a visitor. An image taken by witnesses showed the young man cowering before the animal, his hands folded

Others said the young man suffered for almost 15 minutes before he died. The security guards could do nothing, since they didn't have tranquilizer guns or wireless sets to call in reinforcements, they said.

The zoo authorities have denied the charge The body remained at the spot for hours, until guards managed to scare the tiger into a cage
But some claimed the tiger had attacked after being provoked. "Stones were thrown at it," said Bittu, who filmed the incident on his cellphone.
White tigers are found in southern and eastern Asia, particularly India, and owe their appearance to a recessive gene. They are regarded as an endangered species

In 2021, Angelia Vargas from Houston, Texas, accidentally shot her son while attempting to shoot her neighbor's dog. Her son was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening wounds

Vargas allegedly shot three times at the dog, which was running across the street. One of the bullets then ricocheted and hit the boy in the abdomen. Police believed her behavior to be dangerous since she shot her gun across a public roadway, in the direction of two houses. The owner of the dog received a citation since the dog was running loose, according to police.

The incident took place on Dunham Road in Houston. Angelia Mia Vargas, 24 years old at the time, was charged with deadly conduct discharge of a firearm. The charge was filed because she fired across a public roadway and in the direction of two occupied houses.
The dog, a 6-month-old boxer named Bruno, was the target of the shots. Bruno’s owner was issued a Class C misdemeanor citation for allowing Bruno to be loose in the neighborhood without a leash. One of the bullets grazed Bruno’s leg, but the dog was otherwise unharmed.

The incident was captured on a Ring doorbell camera. The footage showed Bruno running out of the house with his owner trailing immediately behind yelling for Bruno to come back to the house. Multiple gunshots were then heard, followed by extended screaming by the little boy’s parents.

Tragic Tiger Attack A Woman who gets out of the car to argue with her husband while inside a Tiger Safari at Chinese Animal Park

Tragic Tiger Attack A Woman who gets out of the car to argue with her husband while inside a Tiger Safari at Chinese Animal Park

A devastating incident unfolded at the Badaling Wildlife World near Beijing, resulting in the death of a woman and severe injuries to another after a tiger attack. The tragic event occurred in a section of the park where visitors are allowed to drive their own vehicles through a Siberian tiger enclosure, as confirmed by local government officials from Yanqing County.

The attack was captured by surveillance cameras, showing a woman exiting a car and walking around to the other side before being abruptly attacked by a tiger.

The footage, which circulated widely online, depicts the horrifying moment the tiger dragged her away, prompting her husband and mother to exit the vehicle in a desperate rescue attempt.

The incident reportedly began after an argument between the woman and her husband, although this detail remains contested. The Legal Evening News of Beijing suggested the argument led to the woman’s fateful decision to leave the car, while The Beijing News quoted a family friend denying any dispute.

The initial victim, the woman who left the car first, sustained severe injuries, while her mother, who attempted a rescue, was killed by the tiger.

The husband and their child, who remained inside the vehicle, were unharmed.

Badaling Wildlife World, located near a renowned section of the Great Wall, has a history of safety incidents. Previously, in March, an employee was killed by an elephant, and in 2014, a security guard was killed by a tiger under similar circumstances. Additionally, in 2009, an 18-year-old man died after entering the tiger enclosure, reportedly while taking a shortcut through the park after hiking the Great Wall.

China’s wild tiger population has dwindled to fewer than two dozen, primarily in the northeast, yet thousands of tigers are bred in parks across the country.

While these parks offer visitors the opportunity to feed the tigers, sometimes with live animals, critics argue that such practices do little to conserve wild populations and may even contribute to the illegal trade in tiger parts.

This latest tragedy at Badaling Wildlife World raises serious questions about the safety measures in place at wildlife parks and the ethical considerations of wildlife tourism and animal breeding programs. The incident underscores the dire need for stricter safety protocols and ethical standards to protect both visitors and animals in such facilities.

The girl talked on her phone for two minutes before jumping off the bridge. Reportedly no one present at the scene attempted to talk to her.

A witness said he heard someone talking on the phone asking a nearby boat to help rescue the girl.

A small civilian boat without any rescue equipment tried to approach the girl but failed continually, merely circling around her and she thrashed around in the water.

After struggling for ten minutes, the girl eventually sank lifeless beneath the surface, then drifted away and disappeared.

Photograph of Charles Vacca helping a 9-year-old point an Uzi machine gun downrange. She'd just fired a single shot and Charles then asked her to go fully automatic and when she did, the gun recoiled and a stray bullet hit him in the head. He died as a result.

Vacca's family, including his ex-wife, Anamarie Vacca, have said they harbor no ill will toward the girl who accidentally killed Charles Vacca.

Anamarie Vacca also said that her children want to write a letter to the girl, "knowing their family has to grieve through the same process."

In an interview aired on The Today Show on August 29, Vacca's daughter Ashley said that her father's death was a "tragic accident" and expressed her sympathy for the girl and her family. On September 12, Vacca's four children wrote a letter to the girl, in which they said that "Our dad would want you to know that you should move forward with your life."

The incident took place at the Arizona Last Stop Gun Range, also known as “Bullets and Burgers”, in White Hills, Arizona. Charles Vacca had been working there for about 18 months. The shooting range had a minimum age requirement of eight years old for firing a weapon, provided that the child was supervised by a parent.

It was also legal for Arizona Last Stop to own the fully automatic Uzi because it was manufactured and purchased prior to the passage of the Firearm Owners Protection Act in 1986 and added to the National Firearms Act machine gun registry where all fully automatic civilian owned firearms are registered.

The family of the girl had traveled from their Las Vegas hotel to the Last Stop at approximately 9:45 AM. They first took a ride on a monster truck before arriving at the gun range. The girl’s father was the first to shoot, followed by the girl herself. The girl’s mother videotaped her daughter trying out the Uzi, and said she watched as the gun recoiled and her daughter lost control of it.

The girl reportedly said the Uzi was “too much” for her after she fired the weapon and was unable to control the muzzle rise, causing the barrel to be directed at Vacca.

WATCH MOMENTS BEFORE THE HORROR

The shooting ignited a discussion regarding whether children should be legally allowed to handle fully automatic weapons such as Uzis. The owner of Last Stop, Sam Scarmardo, said it was considered pretty standard to allow children onto the range, and that he was reconsidering this policy in light of the accident. Writing for National Review Online, Robert B. Young wrote that only one other incident had occurred in which a child killed someone with an automatic weapon.

Hidden-camera video shocked parents You're just supposed to be neutral and firm,' says autism therapy expert after reviewing nanny-cam video

Hidden-camera video shocked parents You're just supposed to be neutral and firm,' says autism therapy expert after reviewing nanny-cam video

You're just supposed to be neutral and firm,' says autism therapy expert after reviewing nanny-cam video

When Jennifer noticed her four-year-old son Adam acting strangely after an at-home therapy session to treat his autism last September, she became suspicious.
So her husband installed a hidden camera. What they witnessed on video left them shaken and unsure where to turn for help.

Usually, Adam would greet Jennifer excitedly at the door when she arrived home from work. That September day, he stood with his head bowed, clutching his stomach.

When Jennifer tilted his face up to look at him, she said she noticed a red mark on his cheek that hadn't been there when she left the house that morning

Worried about their 4-year-old's changed behaviour, these parents secretly recorded his autism therapy. What they found appalled them

Jennifer asked his therapist, Stephanie Vernucci, what was wrong with him.

Vernucci said she didn't know how the mark got there.

"She kept saying, 'I don't know, I don't know,'" recalled Jennifer, who asked that their real names not be used to protect her son. "She said, 'He gave me a hard time today.'"

Adam wanted Jennifer to hold him. He then took his mother by the hand and led her to his room for a nap, which Jennifer said was completely out of character.

Vernucci followed them and explained she'd never seen Adam, who is non-verbal, act so badly, Jennifer said.

The therapist also said he'd been a handful for his grandmother, who had been caring for Adam earlier that day.

As soon as Vernucci left, Jennifer called her mother.

"I asked her,

'Did he give you a hard time?'" said Jennifer. "And she said, 'No, he was a little angel. He was happy and playing all morning.'"

Hidden camera

That night, Jennifer asked her husband to set up a hidden camera in the basement, where the therapist worked with Adam, to record the following day's session so they could see what was going on.
The camera was triggered by motion, capturing video but no sound.
When Jennifer and her husband watched the 93 minutes that had been recorded on video the following day, they couldn't believe what they saw
Both were shocked at the way the therapist physically handled their son that day

On two occasions, Vernucci is seen on the video pulling the bean-bag chair that Adam is sitting on out from under him.

She is seen pulling Adam by his arm, three times. During one of those encounters,

she roughly leads him to his work table and forces him to sit down.

At one point, the therapist can be seen following behind Adam as he headed toward toward his bean-bag chair. Before he could reach it, the therapist caught up to him and appeared to push him to the ground. She then appeared to gesture for Adam to sit on the bean-bag chair. As he starts to sit down, she pulls the chair away.

The video also recorded a moment where the therapist leads Adam by the arm to his bean bag chair. When he turns over onto his stomach, she grabs him by his ankles and pulls him into the middle of the chair.

The recording also shows there is little actual therapy going on.

By the time Jennifer and her husband finished watching the video, Jennifer was shaking and crying uncontrollably.

"It was the ultimate betrayal," said Jennifer, who had been friendly with the therapist and said she'd treated Vernucci like family.

'High hopes' for Adam

When Adam was diagnosed with autism at two-and-a-half, his psychologist suggested therapy and recommended Alexandra Rothstein.
Rothstein is a behaviour analyst, certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, a non-profit corporation based in the U.S77

He had prepared the banner specifically for the occasion and displayed it for the news helicopters to see.

As authorities prepared to negotiate with him, Jones abruptly returned to his truck and sat in the driver's seat.

With the intention of ending his life, he ignited a Molotov cocktail inside his truck, causing it to burst into flames and become engulfed in fire.

Moments later, he picked up his shotgun and fatally shot himself.

Jones carried this act out on live TV as a form of protest towards health maintenance organizations after he had been diagnosed as HIV-positive several months earlier.
